Ashlyn Odenwald
President
Ashlyn is a senior Bioengineering student on the Cellular Engineering and Pre-Veterinary tracks. Outside of class and BMES, she conducts research at UPMC. She loves to cheer on all Philadelphia sports teams and Liverpool FC. Ashlyn is thrilled to serve as BMES President this year and looks forward to helping all BioEs have an amazing year!
Sadie Lombardo
Communications Chair
Sadie is a senior Bioengineering student on the Biomechanics track and is pursuing a minor in Mechanical Engineering. She plans to go into industry after graduation. Sadie is an undergraduate researcher at the Human Movement and Balance Laboratory. She loves spending time with friends, going to the gym, and being outdoors.
William Miller
VP/Professional Development Chair
Will is a senior Bioengineer on the Cellular Engineering track with plans to attend medical school after graduation. Will works at the Human Movement and Balance Laboratory and is an Engineering Peer Leader for first-year students. He enjoys going to the beach, cooking, and spending time with friends.
Rachael Juron
Public Relations Chair
Rachael is a senior Bioengineer on the Biomechanics track and is pursuing a minor in Mechanical Engineering. She is interested in prosthetics and injury prevention. She loves to be outdoors, hang out with friends, and attend cycling classes. Rachael is super excited to help BioEs network and get involved!
Kate Verone
Mentorship
Kate is a senior Bioengineering student on the Cellular Engineering track. Kate works as an undergraduate researcher at the CONCEPT Lab and as a teaching assistant for the First-Year Engineering Program. She loves to spend time with friends, read, and go for walks. Kate is so excited to serve as Mentorship Chair and can't wait for a great year!
Mary Muirhead
Business Chair
Mary is a sophomore Bioengineering student on the Cellular Engineering track. She has plans to attend optometry school in the future. Mary is a teaching assistant for the First-Year Engineering Program. In her free time, Mary enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with friends!
Madison Flaugh
Outreach Chair
Madison is a senior Bioengineering student on the Medical Product Engineering track with plans to go into industry after graduation. She is an undergraduate researcher at the Human Movement and Balance Laboratory and works as a heart device technician at UPMC. Madison enjoys spending time with friends, enjoying the outdoors, and traveling.
Abby Santora
Social Chair
Abby is a sophomore Bioengineering student on the Cellular Engineering track and is pursuing a minor in Chemistry. After graduation, she plans to go on to a PhD. Abby works as an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Marra's lab. She is very excited to plan many fun social events this year!
Casie Yonker
Freshman Representative
Casie is a freshman Bioengineering student who is planning to be on the Cellular Engineering track. She is interested in regenerative medicine and prosthetics. After graduation, she hopes to work in tissue regeneration. Outside of class, Casie loves working out, playing soccer, and hanging out with friends.
Shivam Kumar
Freshman Representative
Shivam is a freshman Bioengineering student. He is interested in data science and plans to be on the premed track. After graduation, Shivam wants to go to medical school. He loves basketball, photography, and working out. Shivam looks forward to representing the freshman class this year on our board!
