Graduate Student of the Week: Haley Fuller
Undergraduate Degree and Background
I did my undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech and received a B.S. in Biological Systems Engineering (Biomedical Focus). I participated in the VT community as an academic ambassador, Hokie camp counselor, in Greek life, and competed on their alpine ski team. After that, I worked at the NIH for 3 years (highly recommend some industry experience) before starting graduate school at Pitt this past August!
Graduate Program, Research, and Projects
I am studying bioengineering on the Molecular, Cellular, and Systems Engineering track. I work in Dr. Warren Ruder's Synthetic Biology lab manipulating cellular circuit and culture conditions to seed and grow them on a microfluidic device in efforts of growing a lung-on-a-chip.
Fun Fact or Hobby
I love to hike and be outdoors with my friends and dog, Beaux (instagram: bilbeauxbaggins_)
